Deliciousness

Deliciousness

Who would have thought this deliciousness? Yum. Love. Vanilla + Roman Chamomile + Lemon = Delightful.

Again, I used my intuition. I felt drawn to Vanilla (Vanilla planifolia), which isn't really my go to oil, but I started this blog to do just that - use oils that I don't normally use. It's a base, so I started exploring my middle notes. I experimented with mints (recalling the lovely blends with Peppermint and Spearmint) but felt that it was too strong. I saw Roman Chamomile (which is a middle-top note), had zero faith it would work, but gave it a shot. And it worked! Roman Chamomile (Anthemis nobilis) brings out the sweet in the Vanilla. I searched for a top note and decided on Lemon (Citrus limon). I don't naturally gravitate towards Lemon because I associate it with cleaning products, but I gave it a shot, and that worked too. It gave it an extra dimension without taking away from Vanilla.

Because this, to me, smells like a yummy cookie, I would find it too distracting for meditation, but I think would work well to diffuse in the home. It reminds me of a Norman Rockwell painting - I'm not sure if this exists - but it would be of a young boy running home from the school bus and his mom surprises him with fresh-baked cookies. Warm, comforting, nurturing... Enjoy!
