Now that’s floral.

Now that’s floral.

Yesterday I got to know a bit more about Magnolia (Magnolia × alba). I had also decided that when I picked out my next oil to do my "Language of Scent" exercise with, I would do it without looking, so I wouldn't be influenced by what I thought the oil should smell like. I wrongly assumed Magnolia would smell floral since, well, is comes from the Magnolia flower. Rather, it was sweet, fruity, and spicy. And even cool/fresh, but not floral. Well today I pulled out Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) and boy was it floral! Moreover, the fragrance was pretty consistent throughout the exercise.

I would classify this as: rosey, floral, and sweet. And strong!
