I never met an essential oil I didn’t like until Rosalina (Melaleuca ericifolia). What is going on? Seriously!?! It was terrible. It smelled overwhelmingly of animal urine. Not even cat urine, something not even domesticated. Ram urine? It’s supposed to smell like Lavender: cool, floral, herbaceous. Instead it smelled like urine, cool, and urine. It dissipated after a couple of hours and I was left with a little bit of cool. I thought perhaps it was me, so I did another smell test and yep, urine. Has anybody else had this reaction before? With Rosalina or any other oil? I’ve heard of some people having a similar reaction with Valerian (Valeriana wallichii)... Yuck!
