Oh Patchouli

Oh Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin), I can recognize you, but how to describe you? To me, there‘s a “lead pencil” smell to it. Not the wood shavings but the lead. Is this what people call musky? In any case, it initially smelled sweet, then it smelled “musky” and earthy, and now woody, and sweet again. Waiting for husband to harangue me about this because he hates Patchouli and I left my tester strip out to see how the aroma will change over a couple of days.
