Structure and Ease.

Structure and Ease.

On New Yea’s Day I made a commitment to post everyday something about essential oils and aromatherapy. And I kept that commitment, until last night. I was going to post about my latest fragrance test with Copaiba Balsam (Copaifera langsdorffii) and how subtle it is. Actually almost too subtle and light because I could hardly smell it but it’s purported to have so many benefits that I don’t want to give up on it. But then my nine-year old asked me to hang out in bed with him, and we were talking and I just couldn‘t pull myself away. Not out of guilt or making him feel bad or anything like that, but because it was one of those nights where I knew when I looked back on his childhood, that I would treasure having spent that time with him. So that’s my excuse and I’m fine with it! It is really hard balancing work, family, self-care, my aromatherapy hobby... especially during covid when the lines between work-home and work-school are so blurred... but that‘s how it is... And, such is life, balancing commitments (to others, to myself like posting on here everyday) and discipline, with letting go and going with the flow. We need both. Structure and ease.

So Copaiba, woody, smokey, slightly sweeter (balsamic) over time. Supports emotional release, healing, and tranquility.
