I’m still trying to figure out what balsamic means, what it’s supposed to smell like. Today’s pick, Frankincense (Boswellia serrata) has been described by various sources as terpenic, balsamic, spicy, and woody. I described it as piney, sweet, and woody. Started off extremely terpenic (piney) and a bit sweet (balsamic?) and then woody and a little spicy.
